Introduction

Welcome to WeMile K12.

At WeMile K12, we believe trust begins with privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Eaglet Pip LLC ("WeMile K12," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the WeMile K12 mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By using WeMile K12, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Your use of WeMile K12 is also governed by our Terms and Conditions, which describe your responsibilities when using the Services, including carpool participation, notifications, and platform limitations.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you create an account or use WeMile K12, we may collect:

• Name or screen name
• Email address
• Phone number (used for account authentication)
• Profile photo (optional)
• School affiliation and related interest or enrollment details
• Carpool preferences and shared drive schedules you set in the app
• Messages exchanged through WeMile K12
• Corrections you make to assumed drive records
• Support requests and communications

Location and Motion Information

The current WeMile K12 mobile app does not use continuous GPS, background location, geofencing, motion, or activity recognition to automatically detect trips, track drives in progress, or send arrival or departure alerts.

Drive participation is based on the shared carpool schedule you and your group configure (for example, which days and windows members plan to drive), plus optional corrections you make afterward. We may send push reminders and completion notices tied to that schedule—not based on your live location.

Our websites may use approximate location derived from IP address (for example, to suggest a state when searching for schools). That is separate from mobile trip detection and does not track your carpool drives.

If a future version of WeMile K12 requests location or motion permissions for optional features, we will describe those uses in the app permission prompts and update this Privacy Policy before relying on them.

Device Information

We may collect:

• Device type
• Operating system
• Application version
• Push notification device tokens
• Crash reports
• Diagnostic information

This information helps operate notifications and improve the reliability and performance of WeMile K12.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and manage accounts
• Connect users with carpool partners
• Facilitate communication between members
• Store and share carpool schedules within your groups
• Send schedule-based reminders and drive-completion notices
• Record assumed drives and apply member corrections
• Generate participation metrics (such as trip counts)
• Improve product functionality
• Respond to support requests
• Protect users and prevent abuse

Information Sharing

We Do Not Sell Personal Information

WeMile K12 does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

Information Shared With Other Members

WeMile K12 is designed to protect privacy. Other users do not automatically receive access to your:

• Phone number
• Home address
• Email address
• Personal contact information

Members of a carpool group may see information needed to coordinate that group (for example, display name, optional profile photo, and schedule commitments). Users decide when and what additional information they choose to share with others.

School Verification Programs

Participating schools may distribute verification codes to help limit access to a school community. WeMile K12 does not provide schools with private user messages, phone numbers, or personal account information unless required by law or authorized by the user.

Information Not Shared With Schools or Organizations

Participating schools, PTAs, PTOs, employers, commute coordinators, and other organizations do not receive access to private messages, phone numbers, home addresses, or personal account information unless explicitly authorized by the user or required by law.

Service Providers

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate WeMile K12, including:

• Cloud hosting providers
• Authentication and messaging providers (for example, SMS one-time codes and push delivery)
• Analytics providers
• Image hosting used for optional profile photos

These providers may access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of WeMile K12, users, or others.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to:

• Operate the Services
• Maintain user accounts
• Provide support
• Comply with legal obligations
• Resolve disputes

We may delete or anonymize information that is no longer needed.

Your Choices

You may:

• Update profile information (including name, email, and optional profile photo)
• Disable push notifications in your device settings
• Leave carpool groups
• Delete your account

Phone number remains the account identity for sign-in and cannot be changed in-app the same way as display name or email.

Account Deletion

Users may delete their account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or request deletion by email. Full instructions: Delete your WeMile K12 account.

Email requests to ilango@eagletpip.com (subject: Delete WeMile K12 account) are typically processed within 30 days.

Upon deletion, we will remove or anonymize personal information unless retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes or enforce agreements.

Children's Privacy

WeMile K12 is intended for use by adults. Parents and guardians are responsible for information they provide regarding their children in connection with carpool activities. WeMile K12 does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

International Users

Information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted with an updated effective date. Continued use of WeMile K12 after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
